How will my donation help preserve lighthouses?
You can direct that your donation be used to support any one of the Society's initiatives:
- Lighthouse Preservation Fund - your donation would be added to the Preservation Fund, whose investment income is used to provide grants to lighthouse organizations each year
- Lighthouse Research Catalog - your donation would be used to expand the Society's online research catalog
- Point Wilson Lighthouse Restoration
- Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse Restoration

Is my donation to the USLHS tax deductible?
Yes, the Society is an IRS-qualified 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so you are able to take an income tax deduction.

Are the online transactions secure?
Yes, your donation is handled by a reputable online payment company that uses encryption to make sure your transaction is secure.

Are there other ways I may donate?
If you prefer, you may donate by mailing a check to the U.S. Lighthouse Society. You may also establish an endowment to the Society by naming it as a beneficiary of your will, trust, retirement plan, life insurance policy or financial account.
