Cover of book "Lighthouses of the Great Lakes"
Saturday, October 11, 7 p.m. eastern time

Jim Lammers, who lives in Minnesota, was educated as an architect back when freehand sketching was an integral part of the curriculum. A persistent writer and relentless sketcher, Jim has been published in a number of professional journals and on websites. His drawings have been exhibited at Landmark Center, Hallburg Center for the Arts, Phipps Art Center, and ArtReach. His previous books include "Capture the Moment: An Architect’s Guide to Travel Sketching," and "Barns of the St Croix Valley: An Architect’s Sketchbook." His latest book is "Lighthouses of the Great Lakes: An Architect’s Sketchbook."

In this fun presentation Jim will share his sketches and tell the stories behind them. He will discuss the lighthouses of the Great Lakes and ones he's seen in travels elsewhere, including the recent France tour with the U.S. Lighthouse Society. There will be a Q&A period as well.

The event is free but advance registration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event.
