Oregon coast's last wood-frame lighthouse (Yaquina Bay) is set for $1.4 million renovation
A $1.4 million renovation is expected to breathe new life into Yaquina Bay Lighthouse, an old coastal landmark known for its short lifespan, its own inhouse ghost and for inspiring a historical society still thriving 76 years later.
The repairs aim to ensure the longevity of the Oregon coast's last standing wood-frame lighthouse.

Morris Island Lighthouse (SC) to be lit in honor of Independence Day
One more light will be visible in the sky Thursday night along with the thousands of fireworks due to be set off during fourth of July celebrations. The Morris Island lighthouse will be lit from 7:30 to midnight to celebrate the holiday.
Beachgoers, romantics, and those looking to get a good view of the lighthouse and some of Charleston's fireworks should travel to the eastern end of Folly Beach to see the spectacle.

We Discovered The Most Charming Lighthouse During Our Afternoon At Bakers Island Light, MA
We couldn't have picked a more beautiful day to visit. We left home and made the short drive down to Salem Wharf where we boarded our boat, the Naumkeag. There were about 15 people on our tour.
We also had a very friendly guide who told us stories about Salem's maritime history and answered our questions about the island.
