There's a (faux) lighthouse in the middle of Endicott (NY), and it's not the only one
At the intersection of Nanticoke Avenue and Main Street in Endicott, a fenced-in lawn surrounds a small lighthouse.
It's in the heart of the village, surrounded by small shops and restaurants, and the nearest body of water to it is the Susquehanna River a half a mile down the road.

Officials: Historic Sanibel Lighthouse (FL) in no danger of crumpling in the Gulf after Helene
Hurricane Helene's surge soaked Sanibel almost two years to the day after Hurricane Ian walloped the island's historic lighthouse.
Ian's force broke one of the 140-year-ole structure's leg, washed away its two vintage buildings and eroded the nearby beach.

Florida Lighthouse Association cancels November membership meeting due to Hurricane Helene's damage to host site at Anclote Key
The President of the Friends of Anclote Key State Park and Lighthouse has informed the Florida Lighthouse Association (FLA) that Anclote Key was significantly impacted by Hurricane Helene.
Although we are happy to report that the Anclote Key Lighthouse and its surrounding historic structures weathered the storm relatively unscathed and that the tower's beacon remains operational, we were saddened to hear that other areas of Anclote Key and the City of Tarpon Springs were not so fortunate.

Historian tells of family connection to older St. Augustine (FL) Lighthouse
When working on this story about the St. Augustine Lighthouse, I turned to historian David Nolan, who's delved deeply into the old city he's called home since 1977.
He, like many in St. Augustine, has family-related stories to tell about the lighthouse, and his is a really good one.

Cintec North America helps with stabilization effort on Morris Island Lighthouse (SC) staircase
Cintec North America's Cementitious Grout Anchors were used in a project for the stabilization of the deteriorating staircase in the Morris Island Lighthouse, located on Morris Island, South Carolina.
The lighthouse was opened in 1876 and decommissioned in 1962. The 161-foot-tall structure was placed on the national register of historic places in 1982. After the decommissioning, the circular staircase was showing advanced deterioration due to the salt air environment and there was a real fear that the staircase would collapse in on itself, a release issued by the company stated.
