Restoration of historic Beaver Island, MI, lighthouse won't be televised
A plan to televise the restoration of a Lake Michigan lighthouse fell through, but the project is still happening.

HGTV's "Bargain Block" announced in January that the upcoming season five would feature the restoration of Beaver Head Lighthouse, the third oldest standing lighthouse on the Great Lakes. That isn't going to happen.

Tickets Available For Lighthouse Passport Days
The Door County Lighthouse Festival, rebranded as Door Peninsula Lighthouse Passport Days, will return in 2025 with an expanded schedule, with tours planned for May 23-24, June 6-7, Aug. 7 and Oct. 3-4.

The festival features exclusive lighthouse excursions and experiences, including tours of lighthouses that are not typically open to the public.

Restoration Started on Eagle Bluff, WI, Lighthouse Barn, Summer Kitchen
The Door County Historical Society (DCHS) broke ground on April 1 at Eagle Bluff Lighthouse in Peninsula State Park to recreate the structure's historic barn and summer kitchen.

With the ground now dug, the next steps include pouring concrete footings and a slab, setting the stage for the construction crew to begin framing the walls and roof.

Working for the Falkland Islands Government, Falkland Islands Museum & National Trust, we were initially commissioned to perform the feasibility study for the restoration process in 2022.

Working with Buffalo Metal Locking and The Lighthouse Consultant - Jim Woodward, for Cast Iron Repair and Fresnel Lens Preservation work, we are proud to work on our first Trinity House Light Station.

Withernsea, England, lighthouse shines light on town's history
Towering above the flatness of the Holderness countryside, Withernsea is home to an unusual lighthouse.

The 127ft-tall (39m) structure is located in the centre of the town some distance from the shoreline.

On this day in history in 1987, Rose Island Lighthouse was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP).

Constructed in 1870, Narragansett Bay's iconic Rose Island Lighthouse was built on top of a bastion of Fort Hamilton.

Volunteer Docents Sought For Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, ME
As the bicentennial of the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse in 2027 approaches, the Friends of the Pemaquid Point Lighthouse group is seeking volunteer docents dedicated to educating and engaging visitors about the rich history of the lighthouse and its Maine coastal surroundings.

The Pemaquid Point Lighthouse is a historic treasure that dates back to 1827 and continues its nightly vigilance as a fully functional United States Coast Guard Lighthouse.

I'm Beginning To See The Light
In the first trailer for Gravitas Ventures' I'm Beginning to See the Light, premiering May 2, Jack Huston stars as Ezra Cooper , a once-famous, now-struggling trumpeter whose family is killed in a horrific car crash.

"It was an accident. The truck was transporting a Fresnel lens," a man tells Ezra as he recovers in the hospital. "It sits on top of a lighthouse, spins around."
