Condition

Lantern:	Good condition.
Illuminating Apparatus:	The lens was perfectly clean in all its parts.
Service Lamp:	In good condition in all respects.
Oil:	Examined a specimen & found it clear, & free from all objectionable matter.
Service Lamp Burner:	It was free from all gum, clean & the wick well trimmed.
Service Lamp Burner Level:	Found to be level.
Plate Glass:	Clean in all respects but 2 of the panes were cracked.
Lens Cover:	There was no lens cover. Keeper was directed to use a sheet until a cover could be sent to him; & his attention was called to the impropriety of permitting the lens to be w/o a cover even for a day. Sept. 13th, sent Keeper material for 2 covers.
Lantern Curtains:	There were none
Carillon or Alarm Bell:	There was no alarm bell.
Rod Lamp:	There was no rod lamp.
Dwelling:	Pretty good condition. There are 2 pumps that req. repairs & the window battens also need repairing.
Stairway and Landing:	Very clean.
Inside of Tower:
Glazing of Dwelling:	Tolerably good.
Improvements Needed:	There are 2 pumps that require repairs

Grounds:	In very good condition. They wear a neat appearance.

Dome:	They were painted according to instructions. Lightning rod was in good condition & led into the ground.
