Miscellaneous Remarks: There are 2 acres of gov't ground about 1/4 mile from the Lighthouse which if fenced in might produce a great many vegetables.

Lantern: In very good condition.
Illuminating Apparatus: In good condition - the lens perfectly clean in all its parts.
Service Lamp: It was in good condition in every respect.
Oil: Specimen examined & found to be free from all objectionable matter. It had been filtered.
Service Lamp Burner: It was clean & in perfect order.
Service Lamp Burner Level: It was found to be level.
Plate Glass: Very clean, free from scratches, stains etc., but several of the panes were cracked.
Lens Cover: It was on; was clean made of cotton ticking & when not in use is kept in lantern room.
Lantern Curtains: There were none
Carillon or Alarm Bell: There was no alarm bell.
Rod Lamp: There is a rod lamp belonging to the station. It had been sent away for repairs.
Dwelling: Dwelling was in good condition so far as related to cleanliness. Walls & ceiling require some repairs.
Stairway and Landing: Very clean; no paint but whitewashed.
Inside of Tower: Thoroughly whitewashed & perfectly clean & dry.
Glazing of Dwelling: Glazing was in good condition.
Improvements Needed: Walls of dwelling require some repairs, also belfry stands in need of repairs.
Outhouses: Very good
Boathouse: There are none
Grounds: They are in very good condition; but the 2 acres lying about 1/4 mile from lighthouse require fencing in. Grounds have the appearance of neatness and care.

Lantern and Trap Doors: Trap door fits tightly but the lantern door does not.

Ventilation: Keeper understands use of ventilators & how to air the bldg.
Dome: They were painted according to instructions; but the lightning conductor was broken & should be repaired.

Oil Butt Covers: Keeper understands use of the covers & oil cocks, but having a limited supply of refuse oil had failed to fill the gutters of the oil butts.
Drip Bucket Placement: There was a dripping bucket so hung.
Oil Butt Platform: Oil butts are raised well above the masonry, upon a small platform of plank made for the purpose.
Empty Oil Butts: There was no empty oil butt.
