Miscellaneous Remarks: A boat seems to be needed at this station. There are times when a boat is necessary to enable the Keeper to get from one tower to the other.

Lantern: In good condition.
Illuminating Apparatus: Lens was not clean, owing to sickness of Keeper who was confined to his bed.
Service Lamp: Tolerably good condition.
Oil: Specimen examined. It was clear & clean, it had been filtered.
Service Lamp Burner: Good condition
Service Lamp Burner Level: The burner was found to be somewhat out of level.
Plate Glass: Not clean; Keeper sick as before stated.
Lens Cover: It was on; made of cotton ticking. Hung up in the lantern room when not in use. It was clean.
Lantern Curtains: No curtains here.
Carillon or Alarm Bell: No alarm bell.
Rod Lamp: No rod lamp.
Dwelling: The roof of the dwelling is reported to leak badly in storms.
Stairway and Landing: Tolerably clean
Inside of Tower: Inside of tower was whitewashed.
Glazing of Dwelling: Some panes of glass are wanted.
Improvements Needed: Repairs to roof are needed. It leaks badly as the Keeper states.
Outhouses: In pretty good condition.
Boathouse: None
Grounds: Very good. They appear to be well taken care of.

Watch or Trimming Room: None of these articles were to be seen at the time of inspection.
Lucernes or Matches: Matches were seen, & the attention of the Keeper called to the impropriety of this being allowed to be about.

Ventilation: Keeper understands the use of the ventilators & how to air the bldg.
Dome: Painted according to instructions. Lightning conductor in good condition & led into the ground.
